What are the steps one needs to take before coming to Tahoe?  First we need to make sure that you are a good candidate for surgery. Usually we ask you to fill out our new patient form and send us the photographs via mail or E mail.  The pictures will be reviewed by Dr. Volshteyn and you will be invited for a personal consultation.  Usually we can schedule your surgery on the same trip.

The surgery will be performed either at our private in office operating suite, ambulatory surgery center, or outpatient hospital.  The selection of where the surgery is done depends on your health, anticipated complexity of surgery and facility availability. 

After your surgery you will be able to recover in one of the hotel suits either in the valley or at the Lake depending on your preference.  Private duty nursing services are also available.

While at the Lake, we encourage you to take advantage of activities and resources available here.  You can be more active before the surgery.  After your surgery, we encourage more passive relaxation.
