Fees and Financing - Atlantic Surgical Associates

We have a long history of maintaining competitive fees. Each and every patient wants to benefit from the full value of their investment, and we all love the occasional discount, or finding a coupon that will give us a lower price.

We advise our patients to be careful of trying to find the "cheapest" surgeon. In life, we get what we pay for and that most have been disappointed at some point in time.

Trust is probably the most important ingredient in a patient-physician relationship. A patient has to have the feeling that their doctor will provide them with high-quality care, a safe journey through the surgery, and hopefully an uncomplicated recovery. Most patients now have the capability of researching extensively to find a doctor that they feel comfortable with.

We have taken care of patients who have had a disastrous outcome because they didn't do the proper research or because they looked for the cheapest doctor. Most doctor's are very capable, and in our practice, We can honestly say that most doctors are very concerned about the welfare of their patients.

To save a few hundred dollars, and compromise the final result is a pity indeed. We often see this in patients who have their surgery in foreign countries. They are often at great risk, and we could write a book on the immense complications we have encountered when a patient seeks our help when they return to the states after surgery abroad.  "Save a penny, lose a dollar" could not be more true in these situations.

In an effort to fully support our patients, Dr. Volshteyn is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for our patients. If he cannot be reached, one of his trusted colleagues automatically takes the call. This is the type of care that goes far beyond finances.

As part of our commitment to taking care of our patients, we do not charge for post-op visits. We encourage our patients to return for their post-op and follow-up visits, and we do not want finances to get in the way of this important ongoing care.

As mentioned, we make every effort to have fair, competitive fees. We, therefore, do not discount our surgical fees, unless multiple procedures are performed. What we do for one patient, is only fair if we do it for all our patients. We have found that this philosophy works best for most of our patients.

We understand that sometimes patients need to borrow money, and we, therefore, make available a variety of financing plans that help our patients. We research these plans carefully to make sure they deliver what they say they will.  For more information on financing, please refer to section below.

Whenever possible, we will help patients with their insurance plans. Most of the surgery we perform is not covered by insurance plans.

The following fee schedule should be of help to you in deciding if you can afford the surgery. It is always best to speak to our staff regarding your desires. We customize our surgical procedures to be in harmony both with the patient's desires and also with what can be accomplished, given your anatomical and medical circumstances.

Without seeing you in person for a consultation and examination, these fees can only be estimates. The estimates below include the surgical fees, post-op care, binders, and garments as needed.

Anesthesia fees and operating room fees vary depending on location (all hospitals and surgical facilities have their own fee schedules) and individual anesthesiologist.  During your personal consultation we will be happy to discuss these in greater detail.

Atlantic Surgical Associates accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards.

Most insurance companies do not cover the costs of cosmetic procedures, so in the past, patients had to use cash or charge plastic surgery to their credit cards. Now, patient financing offers more patients the opportunity to have the cosmetic procedures they desire through convenient monthly payments. We can help you to determine which of the programs shown below can fulfill your needs.

With many of these companies you can apply for a credit line even before coming to your office. Just complete the application online and indicate as additional email address and we will also receive the response. If you have an excellent credit rating you can apply without a cosigner. If you had some credit problems in the past, or your credit score is below 700, consider adding a co-signer. If you do that with your original application, the whole process will be much faster and we will be able to schedule your surgery without any delays. Many companies do not consider spouses as cosigners as the income is usually shared anyway. Consider friends, parents, brothers, sisters, or children with good credit.

CareCredit is a flexible patient/client payment program, specifically designed for healthcare expenses, that makes it easier for you to get the treatment or procedures you want and need. CareCredit is ideal for co-payments, deductibles, treatment and procedures not covered by insurance, and can be used at over 45,000 practices nationwide.

CareCredit lets you begin your treatment or procedure immediately-then pay for it over time with low monthly payments that are easy to fit into your monthly budget. If you already have a CareCredit account, you can use it also.

CareCredit offers a full range of No Interest and Extended Payment Plans for treatment fees from $1 to over $25,000. Please note: All plans may not be available at all healthcare providers. To find out which plans are available in your provider's practice, be sure to speak with the Office Manager or Financial Coordinator.
