What is Laser Labia Reduction?
Laser labia reduction, also known as LRL or labiaplasty, is one of the most popular vaginal rejuvenation procedures. This procedure is designed to reduce the appearance of protruding, oversized, or unequal labia minora. Many women prefer that the labia minora do not project past the labia majora.
How Much Does Laser Labiaplasty Cost?
The cost of your laser labia reduction procedure will depend on many factors. During your initial consultation, Dr. Volshteyn will discuss your aesthetic goals with you and create a tailored treatment plan after reviewing the procedure. At this point, we can give you an accurate and personalized cost for your treatment. You can learn more about what to expect and options for paying for your treatment on our financing page.
How is Laser Labia Reduction Performed?
LRL is a surgical technique that combines traditional labial reduction techniques with the CO2 laser to reduce swelling, pain, and bruising for an easier recovery. Depending on your aesthetic goals and the amount of correction necessary, the labia are shortened or a triangle-shaped wedge is removed and sutured together for smaller folds of skin. Dissolvable sutures are used so you will not need to return to the office for suture removal. After your procedure, a natural shape and sensation will be retained.
The use of a CO2 laser to remove excess labial tissue eliminates the need for traditional clamping at the base of the tissue, which avoids crush injury to the tissue that remains. This means a shorter and easier recovery period.
What is Laser Labia Reduction Recovery Like?
After your procedure, it’s normal to feel soreness and tenderness for several days with some swelling and bruising. An absorbent pad should be used for the first week as swelling and tenderness subside. It’s important to avoid strenuous exercise and sexual activity for six to eight weeks to allow your body to heal.
Laser labia reduction is a state-of-the-art surgical procedure that is more gentle than traditional labiaplasty and helps you feel the confidence and comfort you deserve.
